Another trip to the upick and my freezer is officially full!
I attempted a pie and it was okay. The filling wasn't quite thick enough and the crust didn't golden up! I shall try again because I do like to perfect things.
'Easy as pie' is not an expression that is true. I do not bake pies - I stick to Tenderflake when the need arises because my pastry never fails to disappoint. grrr... I'm sure it tasted good! I've made blackberry pie (my fav) and my filling tends to be runnier than I'd like. Neufeld's does a lovely Bumbleberry that I buy once every year. :)
So jealous...but in a good way. We have strawberries all year round but I miss the blueberries and raspberries. ...your pie looks AMAZING!! I have NEVER succeeded at making a good pie crust, so I gave up. :(
