Fabulous Fraser Valley

We checked out a new biking trail last weekend.  It was fabulous.  The Vedder Rotary Trail goes right along side the Chilliwack River.  Everything was going quite smoothly until a rusty nail punctured my back tire.  A pair of Good Samaritans rescued with with a patch kit and after 15 minutes we were back to business!
I think we'll be back to bike this trail again....patch kit included!

In Obedience

We were very thrilled when Nathan told us that he wanted to get baptized this spring.
We never had mentioned it or put any pressure on him to do it because we wanted him to be completely on his own making this decision.  It's an important one!  We had a wonderful day (with beautiful sun to boot) at Cultus Lake celebrating his baptism along with 45 other people.  His mentor and baptizer was Brendan who has been such a blessing.  He and his wife have been a huge part of Nate's life for the past several years.

We had lots of friends and family come out to support him.

Well done Nate!  We are happy about your decision to obey God and publically declare it!

A Mighty Move Upwards!

Last Sunday at church Liam was presented with his graduate Bible.  He is moving from Kindergarten Sunday School to grade one and it's a big deal!  He's no longer going to be lumped in with the pre-school kids so it's officially big boy from here on out.  Yeah!

California Bound

Keith's sister and her family came over for a weekend in late May for their last visit for a while.  Tyler is doing pilot training in California for a year so they are moving south!  Lucky ducks, I say.
We enjoyed a weekend of cuddles from Barrett...seriously the most affectionate child I have yet to meet.

We wish the all the best with their big move and look forward to seeing them later this year when we holiday down south!
