Holiday Re-Cap

We spent five days last week at our family property in Oroville. I took a lot of photos, as did my Dad but I'll only post a few highlights. Seems I take the same sort of pictures each year anyhow!

We had a good time. The weather gave us a bit of everything. We had a cloudy day, a smoking hot day, and a few very windy days. No rain though and for that I am thankful! I love the desert air.....my skin dries up, my hair straightens beautifully and one can take a lovely deep breath of clean air. No wonder my grandparents are still going at full speed at their age. They just don't stop! The garden was yielding wonderful peppers while we were there. The orchard was full of plums, peaches, nectarines, grapes and apricots. It's quite a feast and our tummies didn't quite know what hit them! We love our annual trip to Oroville.
This was funny! I fell into the water trying to get into the canoe. My centre of gravity is all wrong and I shouldn't have even attempted it!!!!!!!

I witnessed the 'canoe event' and was so enthralled with the prospect of Rachel falling in that I did not get my camera in gear until she was up and breathing air again. It was totally predictable and totally hilarious. Immovable big boat, transfer of weight to movable and tippy canoe, one leg on each and splits happening....it was inevitable. Hahaha!

Great photos! I love the dry hot air, too. On the west coast my skin was always clammy but in the Okanagan I felt just right. I LOVE the last picture you and your three boys. ;)

Oh man... that should have been caught on tape!!! Way to sum it up Terry :)

Your pictures are fantastic. Every year I see them I am reminded of the fun we had when you took Keri & I as teens. Good Memories for us back then and good memories for your boys now!

I am going to go dream about those fresh peaches now!
