Fall Finds
These mushrooms are beautiful. I hate to eat mushrooms of any sort but they are interesting little specimens!

It's Busy But Beautiful Life
This week's highlights:
*Nathan handed his completed Missions Trip (for next spring break) application in at school. We look forward to seeing where God sends him. Keep posted for updates. His Planning 10 class also visited Tabour Court this week and he had a great time playing 'chair volleyball' with the seniors. He's very comfortable visiting with seniors and can't wait to go back. I love this kid!
*Chad had a soccer tournament, a cross country race, early morning volleyball practices, a vastly improved road run time, early morning Robotics and a play test in band. He's a going concern...and handling his busy schedule quite well. I love this kid!
*Liam has had a few emotional melt downs at supper this week, is getting 12 hours of sleep a night and using up every drop of that stored energy throughout his days, attended the school fun fair, dunked a teacher on his first and third throw of the ball, memorized a few Bible verses without a problem and has had the greatest one-liners for our amusement. (his latest is: My heart is dripping with love-ness for you Mummy) I love this kid!
*Keith has been overworked and stressed but thankfully is coping alright and once he comes home shifts into 'Dad and husband' mode pretty well. I am thankful that he works so hard and do pray that his managers see how hard he works and how desperately their department needs more staff (they are short four people) so that Keith doesn't burn out. And yes...I do love this guy too!
*I have been enjoying this crisp, dry weather. The leaves are gorgeous and the foggy mornings that turn into sunny afternoons have been wonderful. Work is ticking along and I still love showing up and seeing what exciting things will transpire. We have so. much. fun. I'm blessed!
Feeling thankful and never taking anything for granted. There is too much going on with friends and family around me to feel anything less.
Happy Friday friends and have a great weekend.

Cowboy & Cake
Western day at the elementary school. Liam was the cutest cowboy I'd ever seen!
My dad and his three most favorite grandsons. It's always a bit of a competition to see who gets to sit next to him. My boys think it's simply hilarious to try and ruin each picture I take with cross eyes. They will pay.
My mom and her requested birthday cake. It's PW's Prune cake and before you go and gag yourself silly over a PRUNE cake, you oughta try it. It's quite amazing!
William's 17th birthday this past week so we had a dual party!

10,000 Reasons
I loved this quote I say on FB yesterday:
If all you had today was what you thanked God for yesterday...what would you have?
If all you had today was what you thanked God for yesterday...what would you have?
Give thanks everyday...for every blessing!

A First and Possibly Last
So last weekend I attended my very first BC Lions football game at BC Place.
Highlights:
Meeting up with friends, Gary & Sonya, Chris & Heather, Roger & Kori.
Watching the cheerleaders the 'felines' prance around in orange plastic boots.
Half-time show Super Dogs.
Big ole hot dog and Pepsi.
Lowlights:
The football game itself. I do not understand the rules and we lost.
The indoor temp was freezing....absolutely freezing.
Getting 'kicked out' of BC Place for chatting too long after the game.
Paying BIG prices for nosebleeds seats. Crikey!
I think the list almost balances out but not quite enough for me to try that again. I think I prefer hockey...and those ticket prices are most definitely out of my league!
Here are a few pictures...thanks Sonya!

Rocking It Out
Last night we were treated to an awesome evening out at the 'Mercy Me' concert. Keri & Kori were gifted with using a VIP suite and we were thrilled to be invited along with their family. It was such a treat. There is a very special birthday coming up for two certain ladies and we celebrated in style.
No, we didn't pre-plan the stripes but as Keri says, when you are friends this long it just happens!
All of us ladies ready for a night of great music.
Oh Keith....he didn't eat supper before hand and took advantage of the 'room service'. We all had drinks and bottomless caramel and regular popcorn. I decided that being a 'VIP' is quite lovely!
The concert was fantastic. Mercy Me has many solid hits that are played regularly on the radio so it was awesome to go to a concert where you know each song played. They did a great job and all in all it was a wonderful night out. Thank you K & K for the invite!
It's been quite a weekend...football game Friday, dinner out Saturday and the concert on Sunday. It's time to stay home the next couple of weekends. Nate is quite d.o.n.e. being in charge of the brood and we've got empty wallets!

On This Day in 1970...
...my mom, Elisabeth Klassen became Elisabeth Friesen (aka BusyLizzy) as she married my Dad, Terry.
Two lives joined to form a new family.
Congratulations on 43 years of marriage. Thank you for being an example of loyalty, faithfulness and love. May the future years bring you many happy adventures!
