To become a hero to my boys all I need to do it make a dinner of carbs. Waffles or pancakes. Today...I was definitely super mom. As you can see, here are two boys with mouths stuffed full of yummy waffles.
Chad and Nate like their with the works. Fruit, cottage cheese and whipped cream!
I have more simple tastes....butter and syrup please. And I like the really 'fake' syrup. Aunt Jemima, you rock! Keith thinks I'm crazy. He likes 'real' maple syrup.

I've never heard of putting cottage cheese on waffles....hmmm....is it any good??
Cottage cheese?!?!?! Umm....is the whip cream to try and correct that?! I don't understand...but the protein would sure help with all those carbs!!! MMMMMmmmmmmm, we're big waffle fans over here!!!
Cottage cheese? I should try. But mostly I'm SHOCKED that BOYS would eat cottage cheese. I'm so proud.
And although I don't know you well enough to comment on your crazyhood or not I'd have to say I'm with Keith on this one. Pure maple syrup all the way!!!
(P.S. Please, Santa, for Christmas bring me a waffle maker that WORKS. Love, C.)
Okay...the cottage cheese thing. I grew up putting it on German Pancakes...the roll up kind I blogged about last winter I think. So that is how I have always served them. The kids have always loved my pancakes that way and now really insist on cottage cheese on regular flapjack style pancakes and waffles. It is good! Try it and tell me :)
YUM!
I am with you on the fake syrup Rach, not sure about all the hoopla of real maple, then again I have only ever had it a couple times!
My in-laws brought back at tin from the cross Canada trek last summer and I have yet to open it. Perhaps I will have to make waffles and give it a try tomorrow morning :)
I just love making breakfast foods for dinner. There's something so fun about it.
And add me to the list of fake syrup lovers. Yum!
Yum! I'm with you on the syrup too. Somehow the real maple tastes like chemicals to me. :) And butter, lots of butter please.
Butter and syrup please! I love Auntie Jamima too!
