Flying the Friendly yet Terrifying Skies

The kids are debating which Webkinz stuffies get to go on the trip to Ireland with them. Back and forth...shall it be Woofy, Spot or Fertile the Turtle?
Mummy has her own worries. This is the treat I am bringing with me on the flight. A little something to hopefully prevent a 9.5 hour panic attack! Anyone else out there with a fear of flying? Any other Ativan users?

Just make sure you are prepared to sleep :) You will take it and it will konk you right out!!

I see where this is going. You take the Ativan, konk out and Keith gets to deal with 3 kids for the entire flight. Brilliant! ;)

Sonya...just don't let Keith know :)

Keith will know. And you will have little recollection of a potentially wonderful experience and a conquered fear.

I had ativan before my second c-section...let me sleep the night before the big day:)

Are you going to take a "trial run" a few days (when Keith is home) before you go? Better to know how it'll affect you? Maybe not?

Yeah Kris...I'm going to take one and see what happens. If it completely knocks me out then that's no good and I'll have to give them a pass. Keith is a pretty good Dad but he does have his limits.

I've never used it but we handed it out regularly at work and it sure seemed to do the trick so I'm thinking you'll be ok.
You could probably try taking half if one knocks you out cold.
I just hope it works...either way!

Definetly test one ahead of time, it has the opposite effect on me. Makes me all jittery and anxious when I have one. That would not be good!
