Snow Surprise!

My kids were very excited to see this out the front window this morning and then when I told them school was cancelled things got a little crazy! Yeah for kids....boo for grown-ups still having to go to work!

Yipeee for snow days. I am home today as well. Our office closes if the school district does. Yipee a day to bake and relax.

SNOW! WOW! I really miss the snow after two weeks in France...it's all about the rain here! Ceara was off today too...no electricity all day where her school is...she spent it with her best friend...what a treat in the middle of the week!

A day or two of school, a snow day... now that's the perfect school week in MY kid's opinion!!! They've been playing out all morning and are rosey-cheeked from their efforts! Nice to see a snowman in the yard again!

I wish I could have stayed home to play with my kids in the snow today... but working and gazing out the window all day was good as well ;)

Nice picture. It was day filled with beauty if you could see beyond the snarled traffic.

Makes me grateful that I don't live in your neck of the woods! We had beautiful sunshine all day today.

It's beautiful!

I laughed when I heard this: in the town I live in kids have to play outside if it's -20C below or warmer but if it's -21C or lower they can stay inside. Isn't that funny! I'm sure a loooong way from Abby. I remember wishing and dreaming for school to be cancelled because of snow. It reminds me of Calvin and Hobbes and all his crazy snowmen he'd build when he was home on a Snow Day.

I rambleth.

Well, I may be a little nosey but Now you got me wondering Colleen...where do you live? I am Rachel's aunt and have lived in similar circumstances.

Hello aunt! I live in the NWT. Where did you live? Did you like it?

I actually have a correction about what I said previously. The kids have to play outside up to -30 C! Isn't that insane! I chatted with this 10-yr. old yesterday and that's what she told me. Yup, I'm definitely a long way from Abby. Crazy.
