More Presents

My mom had us over for a birthday supper tonight. We had peach chicken which is one of my favorites. I had a special request for dessert which was homemade butter tarts with whipped cream. So good! No one makes them as good as my mom!

I got this funky teapot from my parents and the diner straw dispenser from my brother. I love it when birthdays are drawn out over a few days.

I've always wanted a straw dispenser like that. Even though I'd have no place to put it and we pretty much never use straws. I just think they are the coolest!

Very fun!! I didn't know that you were a tea drinker :) After all these years, I'm still learning things about you!

It is nice when it gets stretched out. Sounds like you got spoiled, which is always nice. :)

Our original tea pot got a crack in it some years ago and so even though I'm not a big tea drinker, one does need a teapot!
I am usually not one for hot drinks but since moving into the house we have had to acclimatize ourselves a cooler room temp. Therefore we drink tea at night...it's lovely :)

I'm glad to hear you love your mom's butter tarts so much. It's a good thing you haven't tried my mom's butter tarts or your mom would have to come in at a distant second. Sorry Mrs. Rachel's Mom, it's just the truth. Maybe our moms could have a Butter Tart Off and we could be the lucky judges. :)

I'm cheeky.

ANYhoo!

All that to say it sounds like you had the nicest of weeks being celebrated. And so you SHOULD have. You are wonderful.
