Oh my word! I saw your status on Facebook and thought that you might just be pulling a fast one on us. But I see by the photo that it's very, very true. Congratulations!! I'll definitely be praying for you and the whole family.

When you get to my age, you have met a lot of people and I must say that those who have an 'after thought' child have one comment in common. " Looking back, it was the very best thing that ever happened to us."
We are just thrilled and we are here for you, as always.
Besides, look at all these friends who commented. If you carefully read between the lines, they are all saying that they will babysit for any time. Right gang? :-)

I agree with Terry. My last one was completely unplanned but she has brought so much joy to our lives and has become everyone's "baby". And, of course I'll babysit...of course considering the geography problem that may not be possible, but I'm here for ya!!

I remember what my very excited 7 year old son said when we were surprised by our 4th child. "God must love us a whole lot to surprise us like this". He viewed Emily as a carefully planned and perfectly executed surprise gift to our family. Congratulations on your surprise. God must love you a whole lot!!

As you know I'm very excited for you - and the fact that someone will get to use all my baby stuff!
I'd be feeling the same way if it was me. I love what Lang6 said - you must be very loved indeed! You are a fabulous mom and your kids are so cute - we welcome another one and I'd love to babysit!

As the element of surprise wears off...take it from me, both having been and having had an afterthought, there is hope.

Ok... WOW!!! I couldn't believe my eyes when I read this! I'm so excited for you Rachel!! It all will take time to sink in I'm sure.
Now, hey - you're not an old mom - Look at me - 34 and 2 under 3! You already are a wonderful mom, and this new one will be such a blessing! You'll be in my prayers!

Wow! I saw your status on Facebook awhile ago but it didn't cross my mind that you were talking about yourself. So funny! I don't think you're an old Mom, either and from what I've been reading, you're a GREAT Mom, so this new little one will be lucky to have you in his/her life. Praying for you all as I'm sure this will be an adjustment, but a wonderful one, I'm sure.
