Cranky

My nine year old has been very cranky lately and I am ready to do something illegal to him. I think that it's several issues:
-springtime allergies
-end of the school year fatigue
-not getting to bed early enough due to it staying light so late
-two loose teeth
For those of you with kids that are in the teeth-falling out years....was it as traumatic for them as it has been for my son? Nathan is seriously upset with these loose teeth. Wants me to pull them out yet changes his mind last minute just as my hands are heading for his mouth. He won't really eat....dinner time can last forever with his tiny bites and moaning. Honestly! He's moodier than a hormonal 13 year old girl.
Does anyone feel my pain?

Yikes! I feel your pain. My kids are having the "year end crankyness" too! I didn't notice so much about their teeth!

I am with ya!
The allergies seem to be the worst, not fun.

As for teeth, you are on your own with that! Maybe my kids are behind in loosing teeth because I don't think Karli has lost many at all, unless she swallows them!
Blake pulls them out on his own before they are ready, he's a nutcase :)

I hear you about the teeth. Sometimes my girls were total drama queens when their teeth were loose. Especially with teeth that seemed to hang on for a long time. My strategy was to ignore all their dramatics.

I so understand. I have a moody 10 year old boy at my house. I swear it is worse then a teenage girl at times! I'm hoping he'll get over this early in life so the teenage years will be a breeze.

As for the teeth, both my boys love to pull them out because it involves receiving money. I guess for them it's worth the pain!

I've heard that kids are either one extreme or the other regarding teeth. My 6 year old is TERRIFIED when she gets a loose tooth. Her latest loose tooth is cause for major anxiety anytime I get a toothbrush near her mouth. Oh Bother.

Thanks to the dentist pulling out 4 teeth, she's now lost 11, and she's only 6 years old! You'd think she'd be a pro at it by now...

Shoot, sorry, no where near the falling out stage. We're still working on getting them in!
I do feel your crankiness pain though. I have a certain 3 year old that I've envisioned locking in his room for an entire day. :)

My three year old definitly needs the sun to set a little earlier one of these nights, trying to reason with him is hopeless.

And of course Emily is just getting her teeth, so this makes me loose sleep.

So, ten years from now I will still have cranky tired kids, and the teeth will still be causing pain. Oh dear.

Thank you for inviting me to your blog. It is a delight! I can foresee that Lukas (my grandson, Nathan's second cousin?) will be exactly like Nathan when he loses his teeth. His personality is so much like I remember Nathan at his age. He is very aware if his environment and would like everyone to conform to his wishes. But then I see how great Nathan has turned out to be and I am comforted.
